So we all know that recently Apple released their newest product, a tablet called the iPad
Steve jobs claimed that with this tablet, Apple was filling the gap between Smartphones and Laptops.
He talked about how other companies have tried to fill this gap with netbooks, and how it's not really working.

But the way I see it, is there even a gap to fill?

If you have an iPhone or an iPod, you don't even need this thing! It looks like a bigger version of an iPod touch!
What do you need a bigger, clunkier version for? Well, apparently you can read books on the iPad. But, oh wait a second, you can't get them in Canada.  Bummer! Guess I'll just have to buy that Kindle!
And as far as I know, everything else the iPad is good for can either be done on a laptop or iPod Touch / iPhone.
So really, is the iPad meant to appeal to people who don't have an iPod or an iPhone, and only have a desktop computer?
Because that seems like a really small demographic to me. Especially if you're an Apple person, like myself.
Overall, I guess I'll just have to wait and see what the overall opinion of the People is.
